Shielding

Today for the first time in ages, I actively went through and worked on my shielding. I’ll probably be adding more layers.. throughout the day, but I can feel the energy drain. It’s an odd feeling. I’ve chosen the color of white for my shield, as it’s known for it’s reflective and protective properties. i thought about black, and “cloaking” myself but, i also know that black tends to attract energies, and quite frankly I’ve had enough of it.

Being an empath, and living in a chaotic and crazy environment wears a body down. So, while i was in the shower today – practically isolated, i let the water help wash away more than just muggle grime, i envisioned it cleansing away much of the unwanted energies as well. I worked my magick bubble until it was nearly *skin tight* I’ve intended for there to be some spring/bounce to my shield so that it can do it’s job properly.

I’m figuring, I’ll have to re-enforce my shield about 2-3 times a day. This i think is a good thing. I’ve always got extra energy..hence why i tend to fry my electronics. The Huz will vouch for this. I’ve been feeling an extra surge of magick lately, so why not put it to use right?

So, if you’re an empath, why not give this basic shielding technique a shot? The More you practice, the better you get, the less effort you’ll have to put out to keeping your shield in place. Ready?

Sit somewhere quiet, or undisturbed. Depending on your energy manipulation skills this should take from 5-15 minutes to properly form the barrier.
Calm your mind and body.
envision a colored bubble around yourself.
the color choice is up to you.
breathe and work the energy field until it has covered your body as a glove.
I recently used the expression “energy wetsuit” meaning skin tight but flexible.
Doing this a couple times a day will re-enforce your barrier. It should also start making you feel a bit of a difference in day to day life. At first, you’ll probably feel a bit drained from the energy expended, but your body will adjust. with myself, well I’ve got extra so this will probably be good in bringing my levels under control.
