It’s a really scary place to be- broke, no job, children who depend on you- jobs available- but not to you ,for being over qualified or under-qualified due to being a stay at home parent for 10 years.

Since Mid March- this is our current predicament. no income- no work, and we’re now into the second week of May, and I’m getting REALLY worried. “A wing and a prayer” just aren’t cutting it. I’m trying to advertise my business like crazy, network, going to other businesses to see if they’d like to carry/consign my stuff.  I’ve had VERY little luck.

who else is here?

I’ve got assistance from the state in the form of Medicaid & SNAP (formerly food stamps) however food isn’t going to do us a damned bit of good if we’ve got nowhere to put it because we’re homeless.

“OH, but you’ve got family and friends” – uh yeah sure that are broke and can’t help…

I’ve cast some spells – simple ones- that have yielded some pretty quick results. However, not nearly enough to get us through the month safely. we’ve got car repairs that are necessary – household items that are needed- I can’t just put every single penny of what little money comes in aside for rent.  It’s just not possible. I need to put gas in the car, buy diapers for the minion, buy paper products for the house – re: paper towels and toilet paper.

I’ve got a PLEATHORA of quick, cheap, easy meals that are ‘family’ approved. Even from my pickiest eaters.

so, how do you suggest I get out of this mess? I’ve applied at McDonald’s, I’ve applied at grocery stores, ive applied to restaurants, I’ve even got a very part-time housecleaning job.  by the end of this month i need to have earned $2000 because $1450 of that is for rent and electricity.  then I’ll have  to buy oil because our hot water is on-demand fired from the furnace., and the least amount of oil we can get is 100 gallons. fuel assistance is used up. I’m gonna go back  to the church and town and see what else can be done.

NOTHING is being overlooked for work- unless of course we’re just not qualified at all.  however, it would be nice if the man person would call and follow-up on jobs instead of sitting and watching tv or on the computer.

So, this is it. This is WHERE i am at with my family. No work – and the rate we’re going no home to live in, unless we get a fantastic stroke of luck.  I don’t want pity or sympathy.  I’d love to have some positive PR for my business, I’d love to have work, and I’d LOVE to have my business be both.
