Still Here ;)
Been busy unpacking, making jewelry to help pay bills, and all that jazz. I’ve gotten “small fry” on a sleeping schedule – that he no longer fights me on. 
And yeah, we’ve graduated from ‘baby minion’ to “small fry” because he’s obsessed with potatoes. I’ve no clue where he got it from or where it started, but it’s super cute to hear him say “potato” I’ll have to record it and post it some how lol!
There have been snow flurries here the past day or so, not cool. i think today once the kids are home, I’m gonna have them drag in dead wood from around the property, so we can cut it up and stack it for the fireplace. Then have them do it again tomorrow. We’ve found out, that the power here isn’t really out for more than a few hours, as we’re on the same line as the hospital. Even though hospitals have generators, it’s more for back up, not permanent solutions.
So, my PC is dead. I’m waiting on it’s return. I’ve sent it off to be repaired. i can only hope that my dad’s computer guy, can fix it well enough, and upgrade the thing to windows 7 and possibly have a RAM boost, as 8gb just isn’t cutting it on my old machine. Well it’s not really “that” old, but the way things get ‘outmoded’ it is. it’s about 3 years old.
back to work.
Today, I’ve emptied another 2 large boxes 
a piece at a time. That’s all anyone can do.
Wednesday Fun..
A friend of mine got a new hat a few days ago.. i wanted one too, so i went and got one.. I’m well aware this isn’t a very flattering picture, but well, hard to take one when you’re over weight. Anyway.
The main reason for today’s trip out, was i’d wanted to get “Mr potatoes” a bento of his own. unfortunately, i waited too long and the one i wanted for him was sold out. So instead, we went over to the Disney store, and got him a couple small things and he’s been happier than a pig in mud since we’ve returned home.
but before we came home, one other treat was to ride one of those quarter operated rides..you know the ones.. when we were little, they were only 10 cents (or a quarter when my oldest was younger) he of course picked out the Fire Truck to ride on..
hehe..just pushing buttons and having a grand ol’ time! then we had to head home for lunch, we were all quite hungry by then.
I decided to take one more picture..and i’m really glad i did. these adorable every day moments don’t always get recorded.
Kai is gettin quite big. He’ll be 3 at the end of January. He’s such a riot. Too damned smart too. Smarter than all the others were at his age. He’s picking up Mandarin very well and using it in context from watching Ni-Hao Kai-Lan. Knows his shapes, and letters, and even starting to know his numbers. And FINALLY he’s starting to potty train. On his own schedule, but at least now, every time he sits on the potty seat he goes..even if it’s just a little bit! my goal is, once we move, for a few days, just put him in undies (as he really hates being wet) and i’m thinking we’ll have this one done by the time he’s 3!
On the moving front, i’d give it about a 70% done with packing up our stuff. the laundry room is cleaned out as much as possible, the kitchen is too. we went through the toys today, packed what was ours/what we’re taking. so now, it’s just little things left really.
My car is supposed to be done tomorrow. new transmission. then it has to immediately get over to the regular mechanic’s to get new rotors put in. this is just too close for comfort. stupid red tape!
well I’ve gotta get back to it! have a good one!

Boxes are getting packed, items tucked away for the big day that’s only 5.5 days away. it seems like it’s been forever, getting to this day..
the picture isn’t pretty, but show me a picture of a house and items being packed up that is, and i’ll be really super impressed..
I’ve been going through stuff as i box it up. if it’s not needed or broken in any way, it’s hitting the trash. It’s fair to say we’ve accumulated a bit while staying here at my parents. One of the things being my new hobby and work- wire wrapping jewelry. I’ve shared a few pictures of my work. I’ve sold a fair amount too. I think I’ve FINALLY found my craft. It’s something i love to do. I’m working with my hands, it’s creative – my art outlet- and it makes others happy too. Simple pieces of affordable beauty that they can call their own.
Each piece has a meaning to that person it speaks to. I’ve tried to stick with gemstones that i can find properties on and send those properties along with the piece. It’s like a little extra magick to go along with them.
I’ve also discovered that bead stores are FANTASTIC places to find unique stones to work with!
Anyway-
I’ve gotta get back to packing, i don’t have much left to do here in my room, and it would be awesome to have it done before bed time. then we’d be one room complete, and only 2 more to do! I’m not really counting our toiletries out of the bathroom, as well that to me would just be silly. lol!
Have a good one, and I’ll try and do the same.. I’ve spotted several dust bunnies converging, and other dust furries- like bison planning their attack..

In one week from now, I’ll be in my new home. in less than one week, we’ll be packing moving trucks to drive the 4.5 hour drive to go to the new house.
The past week or so has been a pain in the ass. last weekend we had a nor’easter come through. Started heavy on Saturday, causing complete power loss around 6pm. The power surged horridly then out. The way the power went out, the only thing i thought was SHIT! There goes my computer. No battery backup, no surge protector. And sure enough, come Monday evening 11:15pm the power is back on, but my PC wont fire up. there’s power, but nothing. Took it for a diagnostic, and yep.. the motherboard is fried. Since I’ve got an HP, i have to find an exact match or my PC is toast.
Add to this, the Friday before the storm, in the afternoon, my transmission in my car goes to pot. I’ve got a service insurance plan..which costs $100 but well, i don’t have that $100. dad said he’d pay for it, so that I’d have a *reliable* car. its been so reliable that I’ve been having issues with it since i bought it back in February.
The huz bought an older vehicle, and has only had 1 problem.. the timing belt…which was fixed easy & cheap enough in just a matter of hours.
I didn’t like the car when i bought it.. dad swore up and down it was a *good* investment. uh.. how is being in debt a good investment?! ugh..
In other news, my jewelry has been doing quite well. Sorry, but I’ve just gotta brag a moment. I never thought, I’d do so well with it. I’ve always wanted to make jewelry.. for at least 10 years.. yeah, a long time.. inspired by some stories.. i love the creative process.. working with my hands, and seeing people light up over the pieces I’ve created. it makes them happy. which is beyond awesome! To *see* people “fight” for a piece, is wicked cool. never in my dreams did i think I’d have a talent that would be so wanted lol!
guess we’ll call it quits for now. I’ll update again soon! maybe later today
